The Challenge
The client required a distinctive visual identity for a high-end fusion restaurant concept. The brief was to merge two distinct culinary worlds: the traditional Japanese Izakaya experience and a premium Seafood Brasserie. The goal was to create a logo that felt both authentic and modern, ensuring the "Seafood" element was immediately recognisable to the target audience.

My Creative Process
To solve this, I focused on a minimalist yet impactful iconographic approach:
Symbolism: I designed a stylised crab icon, using clean, geometric lines that nod to Japanese precision while clearly signalling a seafood-focused menu.
Colour Strategy: I selected a specific "Crustacean Coral" palette. This earthy, warm tone (derived from the natural pigmentation of cooked seafood) was chosen to evoke an immediate sensory connection to the food, while providing a sophisticated, "boutique" feel.
Typography & Balance: I paired the icon with a clean, modern sans-serif typeface for "IZAKAYA" to ensure high legibility, supported by a secondary font that clarifies the "Bar & Brasserie" format.

The Outcome
The final branding provides a cohesive and scalable identity that enables consistent application across all brand assets. By developing clear Brand Guidelines, I ensured uniformity at every touchpoint (from menus to digital marketing), supporting the restaurant’s positioning as a premium player in the fusion dining market.
